About the role


Bell Gully’s market leading Banking and Finance team is looking for lawyers to join its Auckland office. You will join a team that is known for its commercial approach, with specialist expertise in acquisition and leveraged finance, property finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, debt capital markets, insolvency and debt restructuring.


The team advises leading sponsors, banks, non-bank lenders and investment banks, together with major domestic and international corporates, across a range of industries. All our partners have practiced in either Europe or New York.

We are looking for people who want to be involved in market-leading transactions, build meaningful client relationships and deliver innovative legal services.


Experience and qualifications:


  • 7+ years of banking and finance experience , (or in a closely related transactional area), including in private practice.
  • Demonstrated experience and confidence in leading workstreams on complex transactions.
  • Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative style and a genuine interest in mentoring and developing others.
