Automotive Service Technician Whangārei

Our client is seeking a skilled and qualified Automotive Service Technician to join their well-established and respected workshop in Whangārei.


This opportunity is suited to a trade-qualified technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys fault-finding and diagnostics and wants to be part of a supportive, professional team.


Applicants must currently reside in New Zealand and have full working rights. Local Northland-based candidates are strongly preferred.


About the Role


As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing a wide range of passenger vehicles while maintaining the high standards customers have come to expect.


  • Key Responsibilities Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
  • Utilise modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology
  • Complete work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Follow workshop processes and manufacturer specifications
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and customer-focused culture
  • What We're Looking For NZ Level 4 or Level 5 Automotive Qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full New Zealand driver's license
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Must already be living and working in New Zealand
