We're on the hunt for a passionate Centre Cook to join our team and help fuel the learning and growth of our tamariki through delicious, nutritious food.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking in bulk and takes pride in preparing high-quality meals for a busy centre licensed for 120 children. You'll be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals that meet the nutritional needs of our tamariki while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.


Working 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7.30am to 2.30pm or 8.00am to 3.00pm), you'll have the chance to make this role your own. Whether your passion is healthy eating, garden-to-table cooking, or introducing exciting new flavours, we'll support you to bring your ideas to life.


We're looking for someone who:


  • Has experience preparing nutritious meals in bulk.
  • Is highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Understands food safety, dietary requirements, and kitchen documentation.
  • Can confidently manage kitchen ordering, stock control, and menu planning.
  • Brings a positive, bubbly personality and enjoys being part of a centre community.
  • Has a genuine passion for nourishing tamariki and supporting their learning journey through great food.
