Are you a hands-on, mechanically minded person who enjoys helping customers and solving problems?


We’re seeking a Counter Sales & Service Representative to join a busy and supportive team. This is a varied role that combines customer service, technical product assembly, inventory management, and workshop support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both working with people and practical, hands-on tasks.


About the Role


In this position, you’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive outstanding service and the products they need, when they need them. Your day will include a blend of customer interaction, order processing, product assembly, stock control, and operational support.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing exceptional service to customers via the trade counter and over the phone
  • Processing customer orders and internal transfers accurately and efficiently
  • Assembling and manufacturing hose and fluid transfer products
  • Managing incoming and outgoing goods and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Conducting stock counts and supporting stocktake activities
  • Coordinating service activities and assisting with operational workflow
  • Supporting safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives


About You


To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong customer focus along with practical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.


You’ll ideally have:


  • Experience in a trade, industrial, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, or fluid power environment
  • A practical, hands-on approach and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and maintain attention to detail
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety
