Verified Building Inspections is part of Red Square Construction, an Auckland builder since 2017. We conduct pre-purchase, pre-sale and condition inspections across Auckland.


We're growing and need a practical, detail-focused Building Inspector to join our team working 3 days a week.


What you'll do:


  • Carry out residential property inspections under NZS 4306:2005.
  • Assess weathertightness, structure, roofing, cladding, subfloor, moisture and compliance risks.
  • Write clear reports for clients using our report system.
  • Talk findings through with buyers, sellers and agents in a professional way.


What we're looking for:


  • A trade background in carpentry or building, an LBP, or inspection experience.
  • A good understanding of NZ building methods, the Building Code and common defects (leaky homes, monolithic cladding, and so on).
  • Clear written English and confidence using a laptop or tablet.
  • A full driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle.
  • Good to have: moisture meter or thermal imaging experience, drone operation, and NZIBS or similar membership.
