X-ray Operator

As an X-ray Operator, you'll work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds. Becoming an X-ray Operator typically requires a two-year Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology or a Bachelor's Degree in Radiography. These programs provide comprehensive training in radiographic principles, patient care, radiation safety, and clinical practice. Additionally, aspiring X-ray Operators must pass a national registration exam to obtain licensure.

1. Completion of a recognized Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology (2 years).
2. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Radiography (3-4 years) may be required by some employers.
3. Successful completion of the national registration exam administered by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand (MRTBNZ).
